New LG Optimus P500 Kernel to Fix Touchscreen Bug

New LG Optimus P500 Kernel to Fix Touchscreen Bug

Well, all of you P500 owners that were suffering due to the device not exactly performing the way it should have, we have news for you. Most of your functionality issues are due to a bug in the stock kernel that causes the CPU usage to shoot up all the way to 100% whenever the screen is tapped. This basically translates into your device begging for mercy whenever you try to use it for anything, and don’t get us started on playing games. Luckily, XDA member mik_os has come up with a fixed kernel that addresses this issue and therefore brings new life to this device. The kernel itself is still being thoroughly tested, but once its finished, it promises to be that which you have been desperately waiting for.

Have you used the dev’s kernel yet? If so, please leave some feedback, particularly if you run into any issues with it.

Now hack is not dirty, just found that driver has native implementation of “sleep”.
Result: 15-30% cpu use with tap down.
